Dr. Corine Léger's love for animals stemmed from early childhood, spending her summers at the Ottawa's Experimental Farm summer camps, helping injured bunnies, lost dogs or orphaned raccoons with her younger brother, walking the neighbour's senior schnauzer and volunteering many hours at local animal shelters. Dr. Corine graduated from a General Bachelor of Science with Minors in Biology from the University of Ottawa in 2012, and then graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Montreal in 2018.
Having worked at her school's shelter as coordinator, she developed a soft spot in her heart for misunderstood canine breeds and has fostered many kittens and puppies, and deeply enjoyed witnessing when shelter pets would find their forever loving families.
After graduation, she worked 4 years at the Ottawa Veterinary Hospital, gaining valuable and humbling experience in emergency medicine. Since 2022, she has been practicing medicine alongside pets in the Ottawa valley, and delightfully joined the Pinnacle Animal Hospital team in June 2024. Dr. Corine has a keen interest in complex internal medicine cases, dermatology, senior canine and feline care, and always enjoys keeping up with up-to-date gold standard medical and surgical care.
She shares her home with her two children and husband, as well as their two cats and a loveable rambunctious young Doberman.
